Wauwatosa Community Band, under the direction of Donna Kummer, presented a joint concert with the Kenosha Area Catholic Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Ken Johnson, on April 14th and 15th, 1997. The announcer for the concerts was local theatre personality Gladys Chmiel.

The Monday evening concert was held at St. Joseph's High School in Kenosha. Tuesday evening's concert was at Wauwatosa East High School. The two bands combined forces to play the Coronation March from "Star Wars" by John Williams.
